The Children’s Schoolhouse is a parent cooperative preschool located in Huntersville, North Carolina. Founded in 1971, our school has supported children and families for over five decades through a play based, child centered approach to early learning.
Created by parents who believed young children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore, The Children’s Schoolhouse continues to honor childhood as a meaningful and important stage of life.
Early childhood is a time of curiosity, imagination, and growth. At The Children’s Schoolhouse, learning unfolds naturally through play, exploration, and relationships.
Children are encouraged to follow their interests, build social skills, and develop confidence at their own pace within a multi age classroom. Rather than focusing on early academics or rigid outcomes, we prioritize emotional safety, social development, and a genuine love of learning as the foundation for future growth.
What sets The Children’s Schoolhouse apart is our strong sense of community. As a cooperative preschool, families are actively involved in supporting the classroom and the school as a whole.
